WVN-USERS mailing list

The JISCmail WVN-USERS discussion list primarily exists for the academic community in Wales (and beyond) who use or wish to use videoconferencing in their teaching delivery.

The list works by acting as a central site to which you send email messages, which are then forwarded to all members of the list. In addition, you may also want to send messages privately to members of the list in the normal way once you have made contact.

Possible uses might include:

  • Finding videoconferencing practitioners in teaching and learning
  • Contacting other institutions for demonstrations, practice or training
  • Sharing of best practice, hints and tips
  • Notification of forthcoming events

This list has the potential to become a very valuable resource. The sharing of information is paramount to the success of this list, and we welcome any members who have an interest in utilising videoconferencing for the enhancement of their teaching delivery.

Phil Davison,
WVN-USERS owner

To join the list

send an e-mail to jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk with the text "join wvn-users FirstName LastName" in the body of the message or click one of the links below

To leave the list:

send an e-mail to jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk  with the text "leave wvn-users" in the body of the message or click on one of the following links

To send a message to the list:

Send an e-mail to wvn-users@jiscmail.ac.uk. This is called "sending mail to the list," because you send mail to a single address and LISTSERV makes copies for all the people who have subscribed. This address wvn-users@jiscmail.ac.uk is also called the "list address."

If you have any problems joining or leaving the list or you are not sure if the list is suitable for you please send an e-mail to support@wvn.ac.uk .

A number of e-mail discussion lists are available to the registered contacts from each institution which is part of the Welsh Video Network project. Details of these can be found on this page.
