Description: A videoconferencing studio can be an intimidating space, when first encountered. This lecture, via video, gives trainee teachers a chance to experience a videoconference in an informal session, looking at the advantages and barriers to videoconferencing and looking at how they can integrate videoconferencing into their own teaching.

Objectives: By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• list barriers to using videoconferencing in learning

• list advantages to using videoconferencing in learning

• discuss possible uses for VC in own teaching
