Our Customers

The number of organisations across Wales that are supported by WVN continues to increase regularly. Generally we are able to provide support to any public sector or not for profit organisation based anywhere in Wales but organisations should contact us to discuss eligibility. As a general rule, organisations that receive funding from the Welsh Assembly Government or are connected to the PSBA network are typically eligible however these criteria are not exhaustive and individual exceptions may exist. Higher and Further Education
Through a centrally funded arrangement with the funding bodies the WVN Support Centre manages a network of full videoconferencing studios at every higher and further education institution across Wales along with associated network infrastructure. These studios are custom solutions designed to facilitate teaching and learning but are also used frequently for administration and event participation. Many HE and FE institutions self-fund additional videoconferencing facilities which are also supported by WVN.

Schools
WVN supports videoconferencing systems across all types of school in Wales including primary and secondary schools. Videoconferencing is used daily for primary curriculum delivery, curriculum enrichment, event participation and administration. WVN is able to work with individual schools, with clusters, partnerships or entire unitary authority areas delivering reliable solutions tailored to the specific needs of each school.

Unitary Authorities
WVN supports corporate videoconferencing across several of Wales’ Unitary Authorities and in areas such as public libraries. Videoconferencing is a key technology that can help to modernise public services and contribute towards delivering efficiency goals; the technology can be used to improve communication and efficiency internally and also externally with citizens or other public sector bodies.
