How WVN is funded

The Welsh Video Network is supported by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) of the Welsh Government,  the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) and through customer subscription. It is thanks to the vision and foresight of the funding bodies and their commitment over the past ten years that has meant that the Welsh Video Network has existed to encourage and facilitate increased adoption of videoconferencing across Wales. A steering group including representation from the major stakeholders meets regularly.

   
The Welsh Video Network Support Centre is managed as a not for profit service as part of the Information Systems and Services department at Swansea University in partnership with Aberystwyth and Bangor Universities.
